D6 DIESEL STANDARDS AND CLASSIFICATION

LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG)

GASOLINE DTN EN 590

The unit of viscosity is Centistoke. Popular fuels having a viscosity in accordance with ISO 8217 standards based on D6 are as follows: * IFO 380 – intermediate diesel fuel d6 with a maximum viscosity of 380 Centistokes * IFO 180 – intermediate diesel fuel d6 with a maximum viscosity of 180 Centistokes * LS 380 – low sulfur fuel oil (<1.5%) of intermediate d6 with a maximum viscosity of 380 Centistokes * LS 180 – low-sulfur (<1.5%) intermediate diesel fuel d6 with a maximum viscosity of 180 Centistokes * MDO – marine diesel oil. * MGO – marine gas oil.

EN 590 is the European standard for automotive diesel fuel, ensuring high-quality, low-sulfur (ULSD, <10 ppm) fuel suitable for modern diesel engines to meet strict emission standards. It mandates a minimum cetane number of 51, specific density/viscosity ranges, and adjusts cold flow properties (CFPP) seasonally. EN 590 fuel allows up to 7% FAME (biodiesel) content.

JET A-1 AVIATION FUEL

Mazut is a set of hydrocarbons (with a molecular weight of from 400 to 1000), petroleum resins (with a molecular weight of 500-3000 or more), asphaltenes, carbenes, carboids and organic compounds containing metals (V, Ni, Fe, Mg, Na , Ca).

 

Jet fuel is kerosene, not a distillate, such as Gasoil / Diesel. At the refinery, it is separated from gasoline and paraffin. Jet A-1 is widely used as the main fuel worldwide. The difference of this fuel from the Russian analogue TS-1 is in thermo-oxidative stability, which, in turn, is related to the content of mercaptan sulfur in raw materials.
